Hitachi Visualization Suite (HVS) is an integrated, cloud-based software solution that enhances your actionable intelligence based on data from smart and safe city systems.

Gain Full Situational Awarenessand Speed Your Response Time

With Hitachi Visualization Suite, you can visualize and interact with multiple sources of information geospatially. HVS provides visual cues and correlations for seemingly distinct events that exist in silos. It solves the problem of integrating and aggregating disparate point solutions that compose typical public safety and law enforcement agencies.

HVS integrates any video and data sources, including 3rd-party video systems, computer-aided dispatch (CAD) or 911 systems, license-plate recognition (LPR), gunshot sensors, records management systems (RMS), evidence and more. HVS provides a level of integration that is crucial for rapid response and improved situational awareness in the event of an emergency or crisis.

HVS also integrates just about any layer, including traffic, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) alerts, radar and incident databases along with any public safety assets that could be captured within an ESRI mapping system. These layers are displayed alongside real-time alert data and live video feeds on a map, which can be displayed as a road map, terrain, satellite or aerial views. Building floor plans and camera positions can be represented as static objects on the map. Even moving objects such as buses, trains, ferries and cars can be displayed at their exact location in real time.

Cloud-Based, Command and Control Anywhere

Hitachi Visualization Suite is a 100% cloud solution that you can leverage in a hosted cloud environment or on-premises. Because the suite supports multiple browsers across multiple client operating systems, there is no need for client-side downloads or installs. Its design allows for ease of use even on tablets such as Apple iPad or Microsoft® Surface™. No longer is command and control relegated to a single large room. HVS enables data access from the field, on the way to an incident, or in a traditional command and control room with support for multiple video wall configurations.

Hitachi Visualization Suite provides software that is ideal for you to visualize big data analytics.1 As an example, HVS provides law enforcement with the ability to show crime heat maps along with crime predictions based on location and time. No longer is organizing police beats based on guesswork. We leverage your RMS historical data to provide a highly accurate

projection of where and when a crime will occur. Informed by the heat maps, police can assign their limited resources to these specific regions, which are often areas of less than 500 x 500 square feet (see Figure 1).

End-to-End Solution for Public Safety

Hitachi Visualization Suite software was built to work seamlessly with edgecapture devices. Such devices include camera and communication pods for rapid deployment of video assets for wide area surveillance as well as gateway devices for integration of 3rd-party camera systems. As shown in Table 1, these devices, called Hitachi Visualization Platform (HVP), are ideal for deployment across a city, in a campus environment or in large industrial complexes. With built-in 4G LTE communications and support for multiple WAN interfaces, they can be used with any number of communication methods, including copper, fiber and wireless point-to-point. The built-in router is managed and configured via the cloud using HVS. In addition, each outdoor device can be monitored for power consumption, voltage irregularities and internal temperature, as well as status on the built-in switch ports.

Each camera pod records at the edge for up to 30 days in high definition and includes both fixed and PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera options. Multiple form factors from fixed box-style enclosures to larger thermoelectric coolers are available. Each camera pod includes built-in GPS and WiFi.
